heres what PAUL WERTICO of PAT METHENY is saying about PAUL DELONGS new book...
I've always been interested in polyrhythms, but many of the books I've seen only deal with the polyrhythms themselves and not how to use them in a musical situation or how the great drummers incorporated them into their playing. Paul's book does both, and it's written in a way that not only exposes students to new rhythmic frontiers, but also gives them plenty of inspirational examples on how they were previously used musically, both in live performances and on recordings. Also, I have to say that after seeing Paul play at a recent drum festival, he really practises what he preaches...Brilliant stuff!!! --Paul Wertico (former drummer with Pat Metheny)

if you havent checked this guy out yet, try listening to his work on the latest LIVE TOTO CD& DVD CALLED FALLING IN BETWEEN LIVE in support of the tremendous falling in between cd.You can also hear the fusion side of him on the fantastic EL GRUPO recordings my personnal favorite,as well as the LOS LOBOTOMYS cds & dvd,and his work with LARRY CARLTON on SUBSTITUTIONS & LEE RITENOUR DVD LEE RITENOUR & FRIENDS LIVE AT THE COCOANUT GROVE VOL1 &2.
the new solo cd is not jazz but an assortment of rock at its best.the cd will be released here in CANADA & the US early
in june 2008.its a really great cd with tons of guests.ask your music dealer to get the cd in for you and check out his website as well as his my space site.more on this release later on as well as dates in our area should he decide to bring this show to TORONTO.

the DWEEZ & CO.. after playing 2 yrs in a row in toronto,have decided to mix things up & play kitchener this july 4th 2008,
as well as part of the super ottawa blues fest july 5th 2008.
if you havent checked this concert out yet, then do what you can to score some ducats for these shows.a must for all zappa fans.he did his pa proud. i was at the 1st gig in toronto in 2006 june 16th ,with STEVE VAI & TERRY BOZZIO.it was killer show that i still remember & ive seen a few.

play on his summer tour.this summer he will be playing dates accross canada as usual & with RANDY BACHMAN & BURTON CUMMINGS at the molson amp in toronto as the support act for them.the date for this one is june 19th 2008.
As well the KIMMER will be at one of my fav's of my youth THE KEE TO BALA IN MUSKOKA the date is SATURDAY JUNE 21ST.what a way to celebrate the start of the summer..

as witnessed by TOTO when i saw them there twice.so it should be more than a feeling that night.

these guys are simply amazing..
be sure to check out this show in a great venue indeed!!
STEVE HACKET & PHIL COLLINS found them so good they actually played with these guys. and as for PETER GABRIEL he took his children to the show so they could see what he used to do. great set list as well.
